This policy explains what Loupe collects when you visit this site or receive email from us, what we do with it, and how to stop it.

1. What we collect

This site sets no cookies of its own. We do not currently use an analytics service at all. The only cookies involved are the ones described in the last row, and those are set by other companies after you leave this site.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, address, or payment details anywhere on this site.
When you follow an affiliate link
Affiliate links pass a tracking identifier to the destination site and to the affiliate network handling that programme. This is how we get paid. The network can see that you came from Loupe, and may set its own cookies. Once you leave this site, the destination site’s and the network’s own privacy policies apply, not ours.
We receive back only aggregate reporting: how many clicks and how many sales. We do not receive your name, your address, your payment details, or a list of what you bought.
When you receive email from us
If you are on our mailing list, we hold your email address and records of which messages were sent, opened, and clicked.
If you are on our mailing list, it is because you asked to be — most often when backing a crowdfunding campaign our team worked on. We keep a record of that consent. We did not buy your address, and we do not add people who have not asked to hear from us.
You can remove yourself at any time — see section 5.
What we never collect
We do not collect payment card details, government identification numbers, or health information. We do not ask for them, and you should not send them to us.
2. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not trade or rent it.
We use third-party services for hosting, email delivery, and affiliate attribution. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. The ones that can see something about your visit are named here:

Our web host stores server logs in the ordinary course of serving the site.
If we join another affiliate network, this list is where it will appear, and it will appear here before we publish a link that uses it.
We will also disclose information where we are legally required to.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser.
Loupe does not set any. There is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing to ask you about.
Affiliate links are the exception, and they are not ours. When you follow one, the destination site or its affiliate network may set a cookie so a later purchase can be attributed to us. That happens after you leave this site, under their policies, and you can block or delete those cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not prevent you from reading anything here. It means a purchase you make will not be attributed to us — which costs us, not you.
4. “Do Not Track”
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for how sites should respond to it, and Loupe does not change its behaviour in response to one. In practice there is little for it to change: this site sets no cookies and does not track you across other sites. Third parties reached through affiliate links may; the browser controls in section 3 are the effective way to limit that.

We will not sell your personal information. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it happens.
6. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, write to info@readloupe.com and we will delete it.
7. Where your information is held
Loupe is operated from Japan. Our service providers may store data in the United States and elsewhere. By using this site you understand that information may be processed outside your own country.
8. Security
We use HTTPS across the site and limit access to our systems to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we handle information already collected, we will say so on this page and, if you are on our mailing list, by email.
